Curious,I have been tailing this small car,EZ850 Kancil,using normal 155/70/12 size tyres,with two occupants,a male driver age about 20 something and a lady passenger beside him.
I used to drive a Kancil before,At 110km,I can feel the car floating,but this driver is able to do it at 130km on average from Ipoh to Sg Bakap,I salute him,and thanks god he manage to reach his destination.

I was doing 110km constant on the highway,than I notice this small car overtake,obviously he has to go more than 110km to overtake me.

Speed Sensor intermittent failure

This happened to my 1997 Honda Accord.The speedometer refused to move when the vehicle is on the move,after a short distant the D4 indicator on the display panel start blinking,when the vehicle pick up speed,the engine light indicator also lighted up.The blinking D4 indicator refused to go off even when the vehicle is stationary.It disappear only when the engine is turn off.And it start all over again when it start moving.Send it to the mechanic at Honda S.C and was told it was the due to faulty speed sensor.Overall the cost is between RM350 to 400 to have it change.Send it to 3rd party mechanic who charge me only RM170 for similar part.

Safety Belt Repair

 
 
 
 

After several attempts to fixed the belt jammed,today I discovered that the main cause of the problem is the broken plastic bobbin that roll beneath the belt.
This mean that the mechanism covered by the transparent casing got nothing to do with the jam!!!!!#*?$@.An experience learn through trail and error.

Malfunction Safety Belt

This defective parts is taken from a 43 months old car,a Toyota Vios.The belt jammed and unable to pull out. I don't expect a safety belt suppied by a well known car manufacturer would failed to do its work within such a short period.
During this period,this car service was always been done at the Toyota authorised workshop without fail.The safety belt failure shows the workshop mechanics are not doing a proper job.
We are being short change and given sub-standard products,otherwise it would not had failed so easily.Are our local assembler gambling with their loyal customers lives?
Warranty covered for such parts is 36 months,since it already expired,I tear it apart to see what goes wrong.The imprint on the plastic casing say "Do Not Open".But with just a screw driver,I am able to opened and closed it back easily.
It seem like the mechanism teeth is unable to retract to give a free play for the belt to be pull out.
